   Sam was a great instructor to learn from. He approaches teaching in a pragmatic way; he doesn’t wax poetic and tell pretty little lies about the reality of handling firearms. He’s focused on safety and the fundamentals. Sam is also approachable and inclusive of people who are marginalized in the mainstream gun culture. Very queer friendly environment. I highly recommend taking the Basic Pistol class through GCGC.

   I learned so much in this class and made a huge amount of progress in a short period of time! My accuracy and speed improved noticeably by the end. Sam is a patient, funny instructor who is very focused on safety and took the time to make sure everyone was picking up the skills and reinforced that learning is individual. No “gun bro” machismo here. Highly recommend taking this class!
