FIREARMS RELATED
Basic Carbine is an introductory rifle course designed to build safe, effective, and responsible carbine handling skills. This class covers firearm safety, carbine operation, loading and unloading procedures, stance and shooting fundamentals, sight alignment, target transitions, reloads, and malfunction clearing. Students will also learn how to safely manipulate and maintain their rifle while developing confidence and accuracy on the range.
This course combines classroom instruction with practical range exercises in a supportive, safety-focused environment and is open to students of varying experience levels. AR-15 style rifles are primarily used, though other carbine platforms may be accommodated.
Basic Carbine 1.5 Course is a range-focused follow-up designed to build on the fundamentals introduced in the Basic Carbine 1.0 class. This course emphasizes hands-on training in a safe and supportive environment, giving students the opportunity to continue developing their skills and confidence with a carbine platform.
Participants will review and refine core fundamentals including safe firearm handling, proper stance, grip, sight alignment, trigger control, reloads, and recoil management. Through instructor-led drills and practical range exercises, students will work on improving accuracy, consistency, target transitions, and overall firearm proficiency.

The Carbine 2.0 course is an advanced, range-focused class designed for students who are already comfortable with the fundamentals of safe carbine handling and operation. Building on foundational skills, this course introduces more dynamic shooting concepts and practical application drills to improve efficiency, control, and confidence under increased pressure. Students will work on skills such as throttle control, movement, target transitions, shooting from various positions, reloads, and managing the carbine safely while moving and engaging multiple tasks. With instructor guidance and structured drills, participants will continue developing safe firearm handling habits while improving speed, accuracy, and decision-making in a supportive training environment.
The USCCA Basic Handgun Course (often called Concealed Carry & Home Defense Fundamentals) is an introductory-level class designed to help new and developing shooters build a strong, safety-first foundation.
It covers the essential knowledge and skills needed to safely own and operate a handgun, whether for personal protection, home defense, or general familiarity. Students learn the core rules of firearm safety, how handguns function, proper storage practices, and how to handle a firearm responsibly in everyday life.
The course also introduces shooting fundamentals such as grip, stance, sight alignment, trigger control, and basic marksmanship. In many formats, it includes both classroom instruction and a live-fire range component, giving students the opportunity to apply what they’ve learned in a controlled, supportive environment.

This USCCA Handgun 2.0 course is an intermediate, range-focused class designed for students who are comfortable with the fundamentals of safe handgun handling and are ready to continue building their skills. This course expands on core concepts introduced in introductory handgun classes through guided drills and practical application on the range. Students will work on improving accuracy, consistency, and firearm manipulation while learning skills such as reloads, malfunction clearing, target transitions, movement, and throttle control. Emphasis is placed on safe gun handling, efficient technique, and building confidence through repetition and instructor feedback. This course is ideal for individuals who have completed the USCCA Basic Handgun 1.0 and 1.5 courses and have a solid understanding of handgun safety and shooting fundamentals.
During this class students will be walked through some simple shooting drills to learn throttle control, shooting cadence, the relationship between precision and speed and when to apply them, and acceptable levels of accuracy.
Covering the things to consider when deciding what your first firearm should be. This class will focus on considerations for carry and/or home defense but will have info for firearms purchases for other uses. Will have an assortment of Firearms for people to handle and ask questions on features at the end. Will also cover some common questions in the purchasing process and criteria for purchasing a gun in Montana.
This family-focused class is designed to introduce children and parents to firearm safety in a supportive, age-appropriate environment. Families with children of all ages are welcome, and instruction will be adapted based on the ages and experience levels of the kids attending. While there is no strict age requirement, children should be able to follow directions and participate respectfully in the learning environment. Generally, around age 6 is recommended, though parents know their child best.
This is a non-live-fire class, and no real firearms will be handled. The goal is to help children build a safe foundation around firearms while giving parents practical tools and strategies to continue firearm safety education at home. For families with older children interested in learning live-fire skills, private lessons may also be available.
Defensive Pistol builds on Basic Pistol by emphasizing situational awareness, improved accuracy, and safe, efficient firearm handling in self-defense contexts. Instruction focuses on responsible decision-making and controlled skill application in a structured learning environment.
A dry-fire–only class focused on safe reload techniques, malfunction clearing, basic movement, and common shooting positions using both pistol and rifle. Instruction is instructor-led and designed to build confidence, consistency, and safe firearm handling. No live fire required.
This USCCA lesson will introduce you to a wealth of information on different types of self-defense firearms including handguns, home defense shotguns, and the AR-15 platform. The goal of this lesson is to de-mystify what can sometimes feel like a topic reserved for experts.

Women’s Basic Handgun 1.0

The USCCA Women’s Basic Handgun course is designed to introduce women to safe, responsible, and confident handgun ownership in a welcoming and supportive environment. This beginner-friendly class covers firearm safety, handgun operation, safe loading and unloading procedures, shooting fundamentals, ammunition basics, and safe storage practices. Students will have the opportunity to build confidence through hands-on instruction and guided live-fire practice while learning at their own pace. No prior experience is required.
This USCCA Women’s Intermediate Handgun course is designed for students who already understand basic handgun safety and operation and are ready to further develop their shooting skills. This class focuses on improving accuracy, consistency, firearm manipulation, reloads, malfunction clearing, movement fundamentals, and defensive shooting concepts. Through structured drills and live-fire exercises, students will build confidence, competence, and safe gun-handling skills in a supportive, women-focused training environment.
This USCCA Women’s Defensive Handgun course focuses on applying handgun skills in defensive and real-world scenarios while emphasizing safety, awareness, and decision-making under stress. Students will work on drawing from a holster (where appropriate), target transitions, defensive movement, use of cover concepts, reloads, malfunction management, and rapid but accountable shooting. This course is designed to help women build confidence, preparedness, and practical defensive pistol skills through hands-on drills and live-fire training in a supportive environment.
MEDICAL RELATED
When a cardiac emergency happens, every second counts. The Restart the Heart module of the USCCA Emergency First Aid Fundamentals course teaches participants how to recognize the signs of sudden cardiac arrest and take immediate action to improve a person’s chance of survival.
During this hands-on training, you’ll learn how to assess an unresponsive person, activate the emergency response system, perform high-quality adult CPR, and safely operate an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). The course also covers effective team-based response techniques and the critical role rapid intervention plays in increasing survival outcomes.
No prior medical experience is required. Designed for everyday people, this training provides practical, lifesaving skills that can be used at home, at work, or in the community. Whether you’re a parent, teacher, coach, community member, or simply someone who wants to be better prepared, you’ll leave with the knowledge and confidence to respond effectively during one of the most serious medical emergencies a person can face.
Become a Mental Health First Aider and learn how to recognize the signs of mental health challenges, offer initial support, and connect someone to appropriate resources. This class covers common mental health conditions, crisis response, and practical tools to help you respond with confidence and care. No prior experience is needed, just a willingness to learn and support those around you.
Naloxone Training provides community members with education on overdose recognition, naloxone use, and emergency response.
Stop the Bleed provides education in life-saving bleeding control techniques for emergency situations.
OTHER
This women-led self-defense education program focuses on awareness, boundary setting, and practical physical safety strategies, and is open to participants of all genders. Instruction emphasizes confidence, risk reduction, and responsible use of personal safety tools. This training concludes with instruction on using the Soul DefendHer smart pepper spray for personal safety.
This equipment education course covers common load-bearing gear systems and medical equipment placement, with a focus on safe, practical setup and individualized guidance.
This women-led self-defense education program builds on beginner techniques and introduces additional personal safety strategies in a structured, safety-centered environment, and is open to participants of all genders.
This Intro to Meshtastic class is a hands-on experience to configure, use, and understand Meshtastic radio devices. We will be going over initial setup, usage with browser and app based controllers, configuration of settings, and live use. It is oriented towards a basic yet highly usable understanding – we will not be covering more advanced features.
