Training Opportunities for Teams, Workplaces & Organizations
Gallatin Community Gun Club (GCGC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to safety, preparedness, and community education in Gallatin County. We provide inclusive, hands-on training in firearm safety, emergency medical response, first aid, preparedness, and personal protection for individuals, workplaces, organizations, and teams. Our classes are designed to build confidence, practical skills, and responsible decision-making in a welcoming, safety-focused environment for all experience levels.
In addition to public classes, GCGC offers customized training opportunities for businesses, community groups, organizations, and private teams. Whether you’re looking for workplace safety education, team-building activities, private group instruction, or community-focused workshops, we can tailor engaging, hands-on training experiences to meet the needs and goals of your group.
Classes We Offer:
Mental Health First Aid: Mental Health First Aid teaches participants how to recognize the signs and symptoms of common mental health and substance use challenges, provide initial support, and help connect individuals with appropriate professional and community resources. Participants learn practical, evidence-based strategies for responding to situations involving anxiety, depression, panic attacks, trauma, substance use concerns, and mental health crises. The course focuses on building confidence, reducing stigma, and encouraging supportive conversations while emphasizing safety and early intervention.
Stop the Bleed: Stop the Bleed provides education in life-saving bleeding control techniques for emergency situations.
Emergency First Aid Fundamentals: This class gives everyday people the knowledge and confidence to respond during medical emergencies. Participants will learn hands-on skills including scene safety, patient assessment, bleeding control, tourniquet use, and basic trauma care.
Intro to Handguns: This lecture lesson will introduce you to a wealth of information on different types of self-defense firearms including handguns, home defense shotguns, and the AR-15 platform. The goal of this lesson is to de-mystify what can sometimes feel like a topic reserved for experts.
Basic Handgun 1.0: This is an introductory class that teaches safe and responsible handgun ownership, firearm safety, and basic shooting fundamentals. This course also includes live-fire range training to help students build confidence and practical skills in a safe environment.
Basic Carbine 1.0: This introductory rifle course teaches safe and responsible carbine handling, including firearm safety, shooting fundamentals, reloads, and malfunction clearing in a supportive, safety-focused environment.
Women’s Handgun & Self-Defense Fundamentals: This course helps women build confidence, safety awareness, and practical self-defense skills in a supportive environment. Topics include firearm safety, handgun fundamentals, situational awareness, conflict avoidance, and defensive shooting basics. Open to all experience levels, this course focuses on education, preparedness, and confidence-building.
