Gallatin “Community” Gun Club was named intentionally. While we are a gun club designed to remove stigma against guns, reclaim gun rights from toxic culture, and to give access to self-defense training and tools to those that need them, we are primarily a Community based group.

The greatest strength that any one person can have are the people around them. You are never weaker than when you are an island in a sea of strength.

The goal of Gallatin Community Gun Club is to strengthen all caring and empathetic individuals by building and strengthening caring and empathetic communities.

To many, building a caring and empathetic community with a club centered around firearms may feel like a stretch. In some ways they are probably right. But a community that is unable to defend itself will be overrun by people that do not value diversity, universal human rights, and understanding that everyone is a person even if they don’t look or act just like you.

For many, myself very much included, we are scared of the uncertainty that is happening around us right now. For me, and others already in the club, to combat this fear we have decided to build a community that is strong and filled with people that believe all others have a right to exist. We will learn how to defend this community through the exchange of knowledge and mutual support.

Hopefully, this community never needs to be defended. I will be thankful for that. I will also be thankful for the exercise, knowledge, and new friends I come by while a member of the GCGC community.
