Gays and Guns is designed to teach the basics of firearm safety and handling in a welcoming environment. This class is also designed to decrease fear and increase respect for firearms. You will learn the parts of a gun, how to handle a gun, and Montana law. You will also learn how to apply pressure, pack a wound, and apply a tourniquet if you were in a trauma situation.

Gallatin Community Gun Club was founded in February 2025 out of a deep belief that safety, knowledge, and empowerment should belong to everyone, not just a select few. Our mission is to uplift minority and underserved communities by sharing life-saving skills and the confidence to protect themselves and others in times of crisis. We’re reclaiming gun culture by reshaping it into something inclusive, responsible, and empowering so that every person who wants to learn, help, and defend can find a place here.

EVENT DETAILS

Time: 10 AM – 4 PM

Registration Fee: $25.00 or Pay-What-You-Can

Location Info:
_ The event location will be disclosed in an email prior to the event.
_ There will be limited parking, so carpooling with friends and family who are attending, as well, is highly encouraged.
_ The restroom is about 1/ 4 miles away.
_ Cell service will not be available in the area we will be at.

Available Seats: 20 people

Age: 18+, or minor must be accompanied by a guardian. Their guardian can choose to participate in the event or not. If they would like to participate, they will need to fill out the registration form for themselves, as well.

What you’ll need
_ Wear long pants (there will be tall grass and sticky bushes)

_ Wear comfortable and sturdy shoes

_ Wear a crew neck shirts

_ Wear a hat with a brim
_ Eye protection (sunglasses or prescription glasses are okay)
_ Sunscreen
_ Water
_ Snacks and/or Lunch
_ Camp chair or folding chair
