Brought to you by Big Sky Out, Gallatin Community Gun Club, and Queer Bozeman!
Gays and Guns is designed to teach the basics of firearm safety and handling in a welcoming environment. This class is also designed to decrease fear and increase respect for firearms. You will learn the parts of a gun, how to handle a gun, and Montana law. You will also learn how to apply pressure, pack a wound, and apply a tourniquet if you were in a trauma situation.

What an amazing day! Our rockstar volunteers were up before the sun, and it was SO worth it! Together, we teamed up with 20 incredible individuals to dive into gun safety and Stop the Bleed. Energy was high, knowledge was shared, and lives were empowered. What a win! 🎉👏

We kicked things off with a quick but powerful range safety briefing to set the tone for the day. Our orange-vested Range Safety Officers were absolute pros, they kept everything running smoothly and making sure safety was locked in from the very start! 🔥💪

After the safety briefing, one of our awesome instructors brought the energy as he broke down the different parts of a pistol and rifle. The group jumped in with great questions, and he delivered clear do’s and don’ts that had everyone engaged and ready to learn! 🚀🔊

After our quick intro to pistols and rifles, we refueled with a delicious lunch (huge thanks to Big Sky Out & Queer Bozeman for providing! 🙌). Then it was game time, we split into groups, each with an instructor for some hands-on learning with gun parts. And after that… the real fun kicked off! 🔥🎯

We had an absolute *blast* and hope all our participants did too! 🎉💥 The excitement doesn’t stop here, mark your calendars because our SECOND event is happening on October 19th, 2025! You won’t want to miss it! 🔥👏
