We’re Officially a Nonprofit🎉

After nearly a year of growth, learning, and community building, we’re excited to share a major milestone: Gallatin Community Gun Club officially became a nonprofit organization on January 13, 2026.

When GCGC first started, our goal was simple but ambitious: to build a safe, inclusive, and community-centered space for education, preparedness, and connection. From the very beginning, we knew we wanted to become a nonprofit by our one-year anniversary on February 20, 2026. Reaching this milestone ahead of schedule is something we’re incredibly proud of.

Over the past year, what began as a small idea has grown into something much bigger than we imagined. We’ve hosted classes, meet-and-greets, and training opportunities focused on safety, first aid, personal defense, and preparedness. More importantly, we’ve watched a real community form, one built on trust, mutual support, and shared responsibility.

Becoming a nonprofit helps formalize what GCGC has always been about. It allows us to:

  • Focus fully on education, safety, and community benefit
  • Increase transparency and accountability
  • Expand access to classes and programming
  • Build long-term sustainability for the people we serve

This step also reflects the values that guide everything we do. GCGC is an inclusive organization. We believe preparedness, education, and community resilience are for everyone, and we are committed to creating spaces where people feel welcome, supported, and respected, no matter their background or experience level.

We want to thank every single person who has taken a class, shown up to an event, volunteered their time, shared our posts, or simply believed in what we’re building. This milestone belongs to all of you.

As we approach our one-year anniversary this February, we’re excited for what’s ahead. Becoming a nonprofit isn’t the finish line, it’s a foundation. We’re just getting started.

Thank you for being part of the Gallatin Community Gun Club community. We’re grateful to be in this together.
